Bio
Formed in April 2018, Takeaway Thieves played their debut gig in June, followed the day after with an acoustic lunch time gig which was recorded and released in early August "#WaterlooCoustic"
Featuring ex members of Hooker, Ten and Dragstrip Junkies the band have secured Live dates, supporting so far The Quireboys, Electric Boys, Massive Wagons, EnuffZNuff, Love/Hate, Towers of London, The Erotics and Shark Island and played at HRH Sleaze Festival, Rockwich Festival.
Securing Management they recorded their ep at John Sykes (Whitesnake/Blue Murder) Berlin Studios they released their debut single "I Wish You Were Dead" March 22nd and the four track Ep "This is RocknRoll" released May.
In 2020 Takeaway Thieves got fans to film a Lockdown video for "This is RocknRoll".
One of the first bands to play an online gig which was watched by over 15000 LIVE raising over £2000 that night ...and one of the last to play in a venue in the UK before Lockdown ..never asking for a tip with online gigs they have raised over £6000 for various charities.
Takeaway Thieves also self recorded and filmed a single "Find My Way Home".
Offering a Unique opportunity for every fan who ordered their Favourite TT song to be recorded was given a special personal version 7 inch vinyl master especially for them.
In September their First Headline gig at the Waterloo Blackpool SOLD out in 3 days.
The band also acquired endorsements from Vintage Guitars and ACS Custom IEM .
Announcing in March 2021 their DEBUT album entitled " 9 ", produced by Award Winning Producer Dave Draper would be released September 17th, first single "Soothe Me" dropped July 2nd. with the band being played on Planet Rock Radio for the first time. The album was one of the first Rock albums in the World that had Groundbreaking NFT's included in the presale and received glowing reviews.
Early August Takeaway Thieves appeared on NWOCR Compilation cd and reached the OFFICIAL UK TOP TEN Charts.
Second single "Spider" came out 27th August.
With 3rd Single "Lose It" being Track Of The Week on Planet Rock Radio.
Playing Festival shows in 2021 and 2022 and 3 Successful UK tours amongst other dates. The band acquired a further endorsement from NewTone Strings just before hitting the studio and recording album number 2 in May 2023 again with producer Dave Draper at the helm.. With Festival dates lined up throughout the year and the release of a new album Takeaway Thieves are going from Strength to Strength.
